I’m pregnant!

I figure I’d better start getting in the habit of writing now because once this baby comes I know I’m going to get a ton of emails asking me to update the blog more often and not once every 6 months.

So here we go (again)…

Let’s start from when we found out. We go to Cali every year for July 4th. (The neighborhood I grew up in has a huge block party every year on July 4th. They have been doing it since I was born. I have only missed 1 block party in my life and that was when I lived in Ohio. So once we moved closer we now make it tradition to go there). Ok, back to the story. So we left after work on Wednesday July 2nd. But before we left I knew that time of the month was around the corner and didn’t want to bring the tests with me so I thought what the heck I’ll take one real quick and since I knew it was going to be a party weekend. So I took a test and for the 100th time this year and it was negative. So Cali we went! July 4th came around and I had 1 margarita and wasn’t feeling for the 2nd. I thought it was odd considering I was upset about not being pregnant again… I thought I’d just drink my worries away. ha ha…. Guess not! July 5th, we all went to the beach. My dad’s family came out, who I haven’t seen since John and I got married, and we hung out at the beach all day. We had a great time! My dad made some bbq ribs, which for those of you that know me I hardly ever eat meat. Anyways, they smelt soooo good, so I was like what the heck I’ll give it a whirl…well about 15 ribs later I was stuffed. They were delicious! I had no idea what gotten into me…it was the most bizarre thing! That night I got into an argument with my brother. I lost it and let him have it…I was so emotional about the whole thing that even John was like what has gotten into you!! So meanwhile I still have not started which I thought was a little odd too because I’m usually on time!

July 6th, we drive home. As soon as we got home I ran in the house (cause I had to pee so bad) and took a test. I couldn’t believe it, it all felt like a dream. I had to rub my eyes and make sure I was seeing it clearly, yup! It’s positive!!!! I ran out into the living room where John was and said…”omg i’m pregnant”! I will never forget the look he had on his face, he was in shock I think…cause his response was “are you sure”? I’ve taken so many tests that he wasn’t expecting me to say that. ha ha. The next day I decided to triple check, took 2 more test… and sure enough all positive! Now I’m understanding why I was having all that weird stuff happen to me.

So now the pregnancy begins. Week 4 & 5, piece of cake! Was still playing softball and exercising as usual. The first day of Week 6…it all went downhill from there. Nausea, Vomiting, Headaches, Backaches….you name it I got it! My doctor didn’t want to see me until after my 8 weeks, so 8.5 weeks we are sitting in the dr’s office. It was the most amazing thing ever to see this baby so tiny with it’s soon to be hands and feet and to see the heart beating so fast…we were both in awww.

I’m 11 weeks now and feeling a ton better then before but of course still having my ups and downs. I was so happy this morning when I woke up and didn’t have to puke. I was kinda getting use to my morning puking routine. NOT!!!! Of course, I will be so relieved once this passes, hopefully sooner then later. I know it sounds crazy but all I want to do is clean my entire house (without stopping) and get back to my exercise routine!!!
